How we handle your information.

Last updated 16 May 2026

We keep this short and specific, because a privacy policy you can't read isn't worth much. Here's exactly what this site collects, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.

What we collect

When you use the contact form: your name, your email, the name of your charity if you add it, and whatever you write in the message. That's all — there are no other fields.

When you visit any page: basic, aggregate analytics — which pages were viewed, an approximate location (country and region, worked out from your IP address), the kind of device and browser you're on, and which links and buttons get clicked. We don't attach your name or email to any of this.

We don't run advertising trackers, we don't sell anything to anyone, and we don't build profiles of you.

Why we collect it

  • The contact form is so we can write back and talk about the mahi. Nothing else is done with it.
  • The analytics are so we can see which parts of the site are useful and where people get stuck, and make it better. We look at the totals, not at individuals.

Who else can see it

Two third-party services help run this site:

  • Web3Forms receives your contact-form message and passes it on to our inbox. It's a form-handling service operated outside Aotearoa. See their privacy policy.
  • PostHog is the analytics tool that processes the site-usage data described above. See their privacy policy.

Messages from the form land in our own email inbox. Like any web server, our host keeps short-lived access logs (including IP addresses) for security and reliability. We don't share your information with anyone beyond what's described here, and we never sell it.

Cookies and browser storage

PostHog sets cookies so repeat visits can be grouped into sessions. There are no advertising cookies. The only other thing we store is your light or dark theme choice, kept in your browser's local storage — it never leaves your device.

How long we keep it

We keep contact-form correspondence for as long as we're in touch, and a reasonable period after, in case you come back to us. Ask and we'll delete yours. Analytics are retained in aggregate under PostHog's own retention settings.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Email us and we'll sort it — no charge, no forms to fill in.

If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, you can raise it with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.

Changes

If this policy changes we'll update this page and the date at the top. We won't make material changes quietly.
